House of Marley Jammin Collection Revolution Over-Ear Headphones Review

I’ve been trying out my pair of House of Marley Jammin’ Collection over-ear Revolutions for about a week, and I can honestly say they are one of the best pairs of headphones that I have owned. Not only does the brand make you feel good for buying a product that’s eco-friendly, but the quality is superb and definitely on par with other high end model brands. The difference is House of Marley headphones allow you to get the great sound without the steep price.

Now when you think of eco-friendly products the words cheap and poor quality probably come to mind, but that definitely isn’t the case with Revolutions. The headphones are very light, yet they have a distinct sturdiness to them probably in part to the recycled plastic strain relief. The band is covered in a durable canvas that has quite a nice feel to it. They also sport a tangle free, durable red, green, yellow and black fabric cable that relieves the headache of having to constantly trying to undue knots that are a problem in models that use plastic. The ear cushions are a delight and feel like pillows against your ears. They come with a very durable and stylish carrying bag to store your new headphones in if you can bear to part with them. This brand of headphones definitely has a unique look, but it’s aesthetically pleasing nonetheless. It’s a welcome difference in terms of style and sets House of Marley apart from the others.

Now onto the most important, and in my opinion, the most pleasant part of this experience: the performance. The Revolutions come equipped with 40 mm high performance speaker and it really shines through. The headphones give you a rich deep bass, and the sound quality is excellent. They give out a nice sound that doesn’t take long to drown out outside noises and while not perfect, actually does quite a good job at it. There’s no need to blast the volumes in order to hear your music in crowded settings, but if you ever feel the need to test them out you will still be able to get a great sound without the overly blaring scratching sound, even at high volumes. There are two options with these headphones, one with a built in microphone and three-button controller ($99.99) and one without ($89.99). I was lucky enough to snag a pair with the microphone. While it wasn’t the best I ever had it was decent and got the job done with no problems. They controller was a great feature to include and allowed me to stop and start tracks, and adjust the volume.

I really can’t say enough about the performance and quality of these headphones. These are truly a standout pair of headphones on the market and a steal for the price of $89.99 to $99.99. If you want to get a great pair of over-ear headphones for a price that wouldn’t break the bank, I highly suggest you think about trying out the House of Marley Jammin’ Collection Revolution. This isn’t an example of attaching a famous name to sell a product, these are definitely top notch and worth every penny.
